It’s Black Friday, which means that bank cards and credit cards around the world are quaking in their boots and bargains are being sought. The day originally kicked off in the United States as the first big shopping day before Christmas, but in the last few years, the bargain hunting has spread to this side of the pond. So, what’s on offer this year? Here’s a look at some of the top Black Friday bargains I’ve found for parents – let me know if there’s anything I’ve missed!
Amazon has been big with their Black Friday deals for the past few years, and this year is no different. So, if you’re a parent looking to save some money, they’ve got some great stuff in store for you.
If you’re on the look for a buggy, they’ve got the UppaBaby Vista for £499.99 (€560)- an absolute bargain given that it retails here for €979. It includes the carry cot and has excellent reviews. Get it here.
If you’re breastfeeding and in the market for a breast pump, you won’t do better than this Medela Swing electronic breast pump which has been reduced to £76 (€85) from £135 – it retails at €195 in Boots at the moment so this is an absolute bargain! Get it here.
If Santa has been asked for a dolls house this year, it might be wise to direct him towards Amazon for the Melissa and Doug Hi-Rise Wooden Doll’s House With 15 pcs Furniture, Garage and Working Elevator. It’s reduced by £40 to just £70 (€78). Get it here.
If you’re looking for a tablet, or if Santa has one on his list, the Amazon Fire tablet is a bargain at £29.99 (€33) for the 8gb or £39.99 (€45.00) for the 16gb. This is on offer in various other tech places too but for the price and the customer service, I’d definitely recommend getting it from Amazon here.
H&M is one of my faves for toddler clothes – they’re great, wash well and are VERY cute. They’ve got 20-40% off lots of stock – see if you find a piece you can’t leave behind here.
Tesco have got some great deals in their Clothing section (in store or online) with up to 50% various things. I’ve picked up a few bargains for Eliott over the last few days so make sure you check it out!
Zara have got some great deals for kids at 50% – cute leggings, gorgeous shirts and little outfits that will magically find their way into your basket by themselves – and sure, you might as well get something else for yourself just for good measure! Check them out online here.
Mothercare have some great treats in store this Black Friday. Their Early Learning Centre stock in many cases is up to 50% off – this includes Happyland toys such as the Sherwood Castle (down to €25), Big City Deluxe Parking Garage (down to €45) or even the Wooden Toy Kitchen which is half price at €70.
Clotheswise, they’ve got up to 50% a huge variety of their lines. Get the Christmas clothes sorted out (and a few extra bits just because) – see if anything catches your eye here.
Asos have a brilliant 20% off all stock using the code Win20. Go mad (or hide your card, because dangerous!).
Smyths have a different offer instore – as well as various discounts on toys, they also offer an extra €6 off every order over €50, or €12 off every order over €100. However, if you’re just able to do online, it doesn’t mean you miss out on the bargains (though they are open until 11pm if you are able to dash out). As well as a 3 for 2 on all board games, they’ve got various bundles on game consoles too. The Xbox One S 500GB Starter Bundle Pack (3 Months Game Pass + 3 Months Live) is down to €189.00 if that’s on your Christmas list. Check out all the offers here.
Halfords have lots of bikes on up to 50% off, which they’re happy to assemble AND store until Christmas so no surprises get ruined! If a bike isn’t on the list but ride-ons or scooters would go down well, they’ve got you covered there too. Check out their deals here.
So – that’s just a small sample of the Black Friday Bargains that parents may find handy – if you spot any more I’d love to hear them! Hopefully you’ve grabbed some bargains in the run up to Christmas!
