Handsome Devils and HomeMade Dinners: My May Little Loves

It’s almost the end of May. We’ve managed to survive another month which included some solo parenting, while D has been away. I’m grateful that the trips have gotten a lot shorter in recent months. Random weeks are much easier to deal with than long stretches that feel like they’re home less than they’re away. It’s been a bit of a mixed bag of a month. So, as a bit of a catch up on real life, here’s a snapshot of our lives today as part of the My Little Loves linky on Coffee Work Sleep Repeat.

December Little Loves

It’s been a while since I did one of these posts – about a month in fact, so there’s a lot to catch up on! I really do love the format of the Little Loves posts for summing up what’s been going on, as it covers all angles, as well as getting to join in with a fab linky from the (recently rebranded from butwhymummywhy) lovely Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat. It’s been quite a hectic month with lots going on, as December tends to be with Christmas coming close and a million things to do! We’re getting all sorted with only a few days to go until the man in red arrives, presents are wrapped, Santa has been visited, Secret Santa presents exchanged and family visited. So without further ado, here is what we’ve been up to, and what we’ve been loving so far in December.

Rainy Days, Shame-filled Reads and Laughs about the Change: My Monthly Little Loves

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these posts – over a month infact! Life has just been super busy so it’s probably a good idea to get some reflecting on what we’ve been up to lately, and as per usual, the #mylittleloves linky from coffeesleepworkrepeat is a fab format which really does help to sum up the whole lot in one neat package!

Boots, Blogs and Teenage Angst: My Little Loves

my little loves

Hello October. It’s officially hurtling towards winter, and that time of the year when people obsess over a day of much food, some love and a heap of stressful shopping trips. Let’s not mention that yet though and enjoy the time that is October. Leaves are coming off the trees, the weather is as temperamental as my newly out-of-wonder-weeks toddler, and even the mid-riff baring teenagers seem to be dressing a tad more sensibly these days (yes, I feel ancient writing that). So, while I contemplate getting the electric blanket out of the cupboard and onto the bed, lets check out what I’ve been loving this week in my Little Loves post (part of the butwhymummywhy linky). Some September Little Loves

some september little loves four walls rainy days

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these posts; life has gotten a bit hectic lately with all the moving, the broadband battle and solo parenting while himself was working across the water. Now that things are starting to settle down a bit, I can at least manage to sit and take a minute to figure out what exactly has been keeping me sane this month! Instead of doing a weekly roundup as part of the linky hosted by the fab butwhymummywhy, lets make this one for the whole month, my September Little Loves! Read More

Reading, Radio and Lots of Coffee – My Little Loves this week!

Loves of the Week

I’m having a rather unusual Saturday morning here at the Four Walls, Rainy Days house – there was sleep, lots of it, uninterrupted in fact. The joys of E being taken off to a sleepover at his Granny’s house on a Friday night – we got to have a lovely date night, a chance to celebrate some good news we got yesterday, and topped off by a lie in! Who knew this was possible in parenting? Apart from that, it’s been a pretty okay week, a couple of health bits gone bad (thank you athsma for showing up to join the party), it’s been nice having Himself home and getting to do things as our little family of three again. Here’s a bit of a round up of what’s been going on and what we’ve been loving this week – my contribution to the Little Loves linky (from the fab butwhymummywhy) which you can see more of here. Little Loves of the Week

Loves of the Week

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve gotten to do one of these – life has been rather hectic around here with himself away with work, and our going up and down to Waterford and Wexford. We’ve also had some rather not-summer-like weather which hasn’t inspired much in the way of happy thoughts – it’s as if August took a holiday of its own and left November in charge, rather unfairly! Despite all of that though, there have been some good points, so as a form of a round up of the last few weeks, here’s what my Little Loves looks like this week!

Little Loves – New Jeans and Old Friends

Little Loves of the Week

Another Sunday, another week where I look back and go “What the heck did I do, where did that time go?”. This week has been quite different, as myself and E have been on our holidays in not-so-sunny Wexford and Waterford – a brief break from Cork City and being minded by my parents for a bit. His Dada is away with work so despite us missing him, we are getting lots of attention from everyone else to fill the void!  Being the weekend, it also means it’s time to tell what I’ve been loving in my Little Loves Post to join in the butwhymummywhy linky!  Read More

Dressing Up and Boogying on Down, my Little Loves of the Week

Loves of the Week

Another week gone by, another whole lot of nothing done. This week has been a bit up and down; after last weeks creche-plague infestation, I was unimpressed to discover over the weekend that the boy wonder had passed it on, giving me tonsillitis and an ear infection. Aside from a diet of strepsils and antibiotics, it’s not been too bad though. Time to join in again to the fabulous #LittleLoves linky from butwhymummywhy. This is what my Little Loves have been this week! Read More

Rants, Rain and Reading – My Little Loves of the Week!

rants reading rain four walls rainy days little loves

There has finally been some form of a break to the heat – okay, so I would have rathered a gentle breeze rather than the monsoon that descended over the weekend, but thankfully the most of the sticky humidity has left us for the moment. It’s been an active week here; lots going on, some of it even nice things. Continuing on with the fab Little Loves linky from butwhymummywhy, this is what I have been loving this week! Read More

Little Loves

Loves of the Week

Another week gone by, another pile of things I should have or could have done (including a lot of blogging to be fair). Instead, I’ve got a teething toddler (molars, you are my new nemeses) who isn’t mad on sleeping or staying asleep, with an additional ear infection in both ears and a week of making plans and getting organised ahead. That said, it’s not all bad, so I’ve decided to keep going with contributing to the wonderful Little Loves linky hosted by butwhymummywhy – a bit of positivity will never do any harm! So without further ado, lets get that happy train on the road! Read More

My Little Loves

My

It’s been a bit of a mad week here at the Four Walls, Rainy Days house. Lots of great stuff going on, E made his transition to full daycare (three days a week) at his wonderful creche, we appeared in The Irish Independent and my article was published in Maternity & Infant. On top of everything, at my first Weight Watchers Weigh In, I found out that despite not feeling any different, I’d lost 5 pounds – clearly doing something right. There’s a rather lovely linky going about, hosted by butwhymummywhy, that some of my favourite bloggers have been participating in, so I decided to join in the fun! These are my Little Loves of the week that was! Read More

Loves of the Week

Loves of the Week

So we’re half way through the week, I’m on my Friday of my work week (only 3 days in this week, the joy of my long weekend last weekend!), and honestly, I’m only fit for the bed. Life has been so hectic lately and I think I’m just rather run down, and looking after a tiny man with a huge personality and a large capacity for exploring requires so much more energy than I ever could have anticipated. Honestly, if you could bottle his energy, I’m fairly sure you could make a fortune selling it to poor wrecked people like me!

On the side of all this hecticness, theres been certain things keeping me going; these have been my little loves of the week! Read More

Loves of December

It has been a while since I have done one of these! There has been a lot going on lately, getting caught up with Christmas plans, a lot of health related stuff (semi positive for once!) and general taking care of tiny man mixed with being a worker mama – it takes a lot out of you. However, with that in mind there has been a lot of lovely stuff going on too – December is for the most part a happy month, filled with positivity as well as being freezing cold. So what have I been loving at the moment? Read More

Loves of the Week!

So it has been a hectic week here – one could say a pretty harsh week if you observed all of the broken sleep and screaming baby-ness (teething is taking it out of the whole lot of us and its only just begun..). However, theres no point in dwelling in the negativity and as a whole it hasn’t been a completely diabolical week. So in that vein, I’ve decided to compile a list of things I’ve loved this week – I’ve seen a few other bloggers do this and in order to mix up the blog to avoid negativity, I’m joining the bandwagon.
